Welcome to my personal page. I still haven't yet decided what parts of my long and varied life to divulge about myself. Here are a few things I know I will mention, because they are very much who I am:

I am a recovering addict/alcoholic and celebrated 18 years of sobriety on November 18. In 1988, after being a heroin addict for 18 years, I entered Delancey Street Foundation in San Francisco, California. Delancey Street is a two-year residential treatment facility. I stayed for nearly 5 years. Okay, okay. So maybe I'm a little slow. But it worked! And now I can honestly say that it's good to be alive.

In July of 1995, I moved from San Francisco, California, to Duluth, Minnesota. That statement generally raises more questions than you can imagine! The relationship I moved here for dissolved pretty soon after my arrival, but I stayed anyway. While in Duluth, I redefined my values. I have a totally different idea now of what is important and what is not. I am truly grateful to have been "stranded" there for three years.

In 1998, I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where I worked as Technical Support for America Online until a couple of years ago when I finally got the courage -- and the client base -- to do web design and search engine consulting full time. A decision I'm glad I made.

In August, 2000, I married the love of my life, Ken, and moved to Edcouch, Texas. (See? I TOLD you it was love! Why else would someone move to deep south Texas?) :) We will be moving to Maine at the end of April of this year.

In 2001, Ken and I moved to Millinocket, Maine. That is a story in itself, and one I will be telling you all about eventually.

Stick around, and I'll be pointing you to pictures of Soldier Pond, Maine, where we drove on our honeymoon.

I've been a secretary, a court reporter, a professional shoplifter, a customer service representative, technical support, a medical transcriber, and an insurance claims adjuster, among other things. Now I am just happy.
